This canvas is part of a seascape study that included “Beach at Ho`okena” and “Honaunau Beach” - all painted in 2004. All three paintings were rendered on location. “Hualalai Canoe” illustrates my connection to island life, my commitment to capturing the Big Island’s special treasures and the sense of adventure I feel living here.
