All of the paintings in
the 'Blue Hawaiian' series feature a blue figure (usually with
her eyes closed) and a table with flowers on it. This particular
painting is sheer. The sheer tablecloth, no flowered wallpaper
and a crystal vase, make this work an unusual rendition of Suzanne's
style. Its beauty lies in the absence of brushstroke and the clearing
of clutter.
